For many years, Tabernacle Rescue Squad has responded to large animal rescue incidents throughout our community and surrounding areas. From horses that have become cast in stalls to animals that are injured, trapped, or otherwise unable to stand, our specially trained rescuers have worked alongside veterinarians, fire departments, and animal owners to safely bring these animals to safety.

This specialized equipment will allow our rescuers to safely and efficiently assist horses and other large animals when they become trapped, injured, cast, or otherwise unable to stand, reducing the risk of injury to both the animal and rescue personnel while improving the overall safety and effectiveness of rescue operations.

While we have successfully performed these rescues using the equipment currently available to us, we recognize the need to enhance our capabilities with equipment specifically designed for large animal rescue operations. An Instant Release Spreadbar and Large Animal Rescue Sling would provide a safer and more effective lifting system for both rescuers and the animals in our care.

The cost of this equipment is approximately $3,500.
