Thank you for your continued support. 2020 brought with it many challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic which was a game-changer for our organization. Our volunteers quickly adapted to the ever-changing situation while continuing to provide high-quality emergency medical and rescue services to our community. Your support in 2020 allowed us to purchase much-needed personal protective equipment and supplies to safely and effectively respond to COVID-19 and everyday emergencies.
With 2020 behind us we look forward to 2021 and are excited to announce that after several meetings and some planning, the Tabernacle Rescue Squad has officially merged with Shamong Emergency Medical Services and is now providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to Shamong Township. This decision was made to provide the most efficient and effective services to both Tabernacle & Shamong townships. The primary benefit of this merger will be to provide a larger group of volunteers to respond to calls for service. We are excited for this new chapter in our history and we are hopeful that this will only serve to enhance our level of service to the communities. We want all residents to take comfort in knowing that when you need our help, we will be there for you. For more information about the merger please visit our website and social media pages.
With this merger will come an increased call volume and also an increase in operations costs. This is where your tax-deductible donations will help our 100% volunteer EMS and rescue team by providing funding for:
Life-saving equipment and gear
Continuous training and safety initiatives
Facilities upkeep, fuels, EMS supplies, and materials
Apparatus insurance, maintenance, and service
As in the past, we thank you for your donation and look forward to assisting you if the need arises.
Sincerely, The Volunteers of the Tabernacle Rescue Squad
