The Tabernacle Rescue Squad station consists of a 12,800 SF building that was completed in 2012. The station is a joint project with the Township of Tabernacle and also has space for the Tabernacle Office of Emergency Management, and Pinelands Regional CERT Team.
The building consists of four drive through apparatus bays, a wash bay for washing apparatus, gear & equipment storage, engineers room, laundry room, decontamination room, and a radio/report room.
There is also a day room, kitchen, line & administrative offices, a large training room that also serves as the township Emergency Operations Center, locker rooms, separate bunk rooms, bathrooms, and shower facilities.
The front of the building is covered by a large porch with a separate porch on the one side of building which gives an area for members to spend time together. On the rear side of the lot we have a large fenced in area that is used for training and allows us to store vehicles and other training items in a secure area.
The station was recognized as an “Outstanding Shared Facility” in the 2012 Station Style Design Awards
