Tabernacle Rescue Squads (TRS) mission is to provide emergency medical services & rescue services to the residents and visitors of Tabernacle, township in Burlington County, New Jersey. We also provide mutual aid to surrounding jurisdictions, and can assist with technical rescue, emergency services rehab, rescue task-force & large animal rescue efforts.
Founded in 1953, the Tabernacle Rescue Squad has served the residents of Tabernacle for over 50 years. The Tabernacle Rescue Squad protects 49.5 square miles and a residential population of about 7,000. This mostly residential coverage area also consists of some industrial and commercial establishments spotted throughout the community. Also, State Highway Route 206 and County Highway Route 532 run through the Township and there are three major school complexes located within the first due area as well as a large section of the Wharton State forest.
The Squad responds out of one station located within the Township; the station is located in the Center section of town. The current apparatus fleet consists of three ambulances, one heavy rescue truck, one 4X4 off road ambulance, one marine unit, one county Mass Casualty Trailer, one rehab unit and two Command vehicles. The Tabernacle Rescue Squad responds to approximately over 1000 calls for service per year.
