At the Tabernacle Rescue Squad, you’ll find a second family waiting for you. On duty and off, the members of the squad share a common bond to serve their community. Lifelong friendships have been formed in our organization and many of our members consider each other a part of there extended family. if you’re looking to serve in an organization where you feel rewarded in more ways than one, the Tabernacle Rescue Squad offers this and so much more.
Opening in 2012, the new state of the art station includes all the amenities to make a shift serving the community very comfortable. With training space, bunkrooms, cooking equipment in the kitchen, member lounge, and free Wi-Fi throughout, you are sure to be well cared for during your shift(s).
The Tabernacle Rescue Squad offers our members a reimbursement for time spent on Duty and responding to calls. This program is done in leu of our members having to apply to volunteer credits on there federal income taxes.
The Tabernacle Rescue Squad provides the following services, EMS, Emergency Services Rehab, Rescue and Technical Rescue response. Our EMS service handles an incredible and diverse call volume within our first due and the surrounding areas. Thanks to our specialized units (Rescue, Rehab, Mass Causality Trailer), Tabernacle Rescue Squad often responds to major incidents within Burlington County and other surrounding jurisdictions. These incidents could range from high and low angle rescues, large scale medical incidents, and large fires.
At the Tabernacle Rescue Squad, we have access to numerous classes offered by in-house and by various well known training agencies. We also have several members who are certified state Fire & EMS instructors who bring a wealth of knowledge to the our team. We also provide EMT training free of charge to those looking to get certified and successfully complete there initial EMT training.
All personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided free of charge! Those members who active and meet the requirements will be provided with a uniform which will include pants, shirts, boots, and jacket to wear while on duty or participating in other squad events. We also provide our Members with the latest technology in rescue gear which includes a fire-resistant coats, pants, boots, gloves, and helmet.
You can join Tabernacle Rescue Squad to just perform a specialized function or you can get involved in all of the volunteering opportunities we have to offer. Our members come from our community and throughout the region thanks to our robust offering of response services and family & friends atmosphere. Plus, scheduling is also a breeze with online calendars and shift schedules that ensure you balance your job, family and the Tabernacle Rescue Squad.
